Citizen Way loses their tour bus

Citizen Way

Plus a new single from Phil Wickham, and Michael W. Smith prepares to celebrate Friends…

A fire ignited on Citizen Way’s Generosity Rocks Tour bus during a recent tour stop in Michigan. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured in the fire but the bus is a complete loss. A fundraising page established by the non-profit Generosity Rocks has been set up to raise money to keep this ministry traveling on the road.

BUS FIRE FUNDRAISER!!!https://www.generosityrocks.com/bus-fire-campaignWe walked through a defining moment in our ministry this weekend. We lost our bus. We gained more evidence of the faithfulness of our God. We lost personal items and including Ben’s computer with all of his new songs on it (we’re hoping it can be salvaged). We gained new friends that shared this trauma with us and now know a depth of Gods abundant provision because of it. We lost temporary things but gained eternal perspective and a heart of thankfulness. These are the moments in life we don’t want to walk through but somehow make us glad that we did. Yes, even with added trailer break downs and emergency flights we made it to each show this weekend, and they were all uniquely special. Yes, we are a new kind of tired and we still kinda smell like smoke. Yes, we are safe and together again after some of us were separated (Ben and his daughter Ava – Walter our sound engineer and his wife Holly who runs our merchandise). Yes, we scraped the bottom and cried tears of fear and joy. Yes, we have a renewed vision for why we leave our families to do this. Yes, we have an enemy and we battle in a war for truth and souls. Yes, our God is greater. Yes, God is good and works all of this together for our good and His glory. Watch with us how He moves mountains with all of this and does what only He can do – Romans 8:28!Thank you to all of you who have sacrificed to help us. We need your continued support through prayer and finances. We didn’t quit and this only makes us stronger. Would you be willing to help us replace our transportation needs by visiting:Just watch, this is gonna get good!In Jesus’ name,@bencalhoun @danielolssonworld @davidblascoe @walterhalliwell @holly__halliwell @emilyblascoe @alison_calhoun @sharewordglobal

Worship leaders Phil Wickham and Chris Quilala have released a new song, “You Cannot Be Stopped.” The new song, which they co-wrote together, was released on Good Friday.

Michael W. Smith and over 35 other artists will be celebrating 35 #1 songs and the 35th anniversary of his iconic song, “Friends.” The concert happens at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on April 30th.

Well, I guess this is where it all began… At least the first record that is. (what’s up with the floating head!)…
