Congratulations are in order for Matt Maher who was recently named the BMI Songwriter of the Year. He was honored for writing his hit song “Because He Lives (Amen)” as well as songs he’s written for other artists such as Crowder and Third Day. This marks the third time Matt Maher has won the BMI Songwriter of the Year award and this year, he shares the title with Chris Tomlin.
